AGENDA FOR RELIABILITY CLASS

The focus of this class will be to learn Reliability and Maintainability concepts (CQE Body of Knowledge, III. Product, Process and Service Design, E. Reliability and Maintainability). The class objective is for participants to learn concepts and be able to answer and solve CQE exam questions on this topic.
- Predictive and preventive maintenance tools
Describe and apply the tools and techniques used to maintain and improve process and product reliability.
- Reliability and maintainability indices
Review and analyze indices such as mean time to failure (MTTF), mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), availability, and failure rate.
- Reliability models
Identify, define, and distinguish between the basic elements of reliability models such as exponential, Weibull, and bathtub curve. Learn how to calculate system reliability for a system with subsystems in series or parallel or both.
- Reliability/Safety/Hazard Assessment Tools
Define, construct, and interpret the results of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA), and fault tree analysis (FTA).
